In Production – ‘Bezorgd’ - Series
Currently in production, Bezorgd represents the next major step in the creative partnership between Marlin Productions and BLACK SKELETON CAT Pictures. The series was developed by Ditmar Marlin and Ignjat Miletic, with Miletic serving as head writer and Marlin contributing as additional writer and producer.
Born from a long-standing creative collaboration, Bezorgd reflects a shared fascination with realism, morality, and the human condition. Over the course of eight years working together across various productions, Marlin and Miletic built a foundation of trust that now fuels this ambitious, independently developed series. Created outside traditional commercial systems, Bezorgd embodies their conviction that authenticity can only exist when artists retain full creative control.
Filming takes place across South Holland, a region that forms both the visual and emotional landscape of the story.
From the dense urban heart of The Hague to the industrial edges of Rotterdam, and from the coastal towns to the greenhouses of the Westland, Bezorgd captures a raw and layered portrait of modern Dutch life — where beauty and pressure coexist, and where human stories unfold between glass, steel, and sea.
To achieve the highest level of realism, the production collaborates closely with the Dutch Police, the Public Prosecution Service (OM), and specialized tactical units. Their support extends beyond consultation — providing access, supervision, and authentic materials for key scenes. This partnership ensures a safe and credible representation of both law enforcement and civilian perspectives, adding depth and social relevance to the project.
Through these collaborations, Bezorgd is not simply filmed in South Holland — it embodies the region.
It portrays the rhythm, grit, and humanity of the people who live and work there, merging fiction and reality into a cinematic reflection of contemporary life.
With Bezorgd, Marlin Productions and Black Skeleton Cat Pictures continue to push the boundaries of independent storytelling — creating a series that is honest, grounded, and unmistakably Dutch in spirit.
